Dr. Daniel Spogen is professor and chair of the University of Nevada School of Medicine Department of Family and Community Medicine in Reno. His research interests include a current study on the barriers to healthcare access and cancer prevention among indigent populations in Reno and a study on utilization of internet resources to create interactive methods of teaching.
Dr. Spogen provides gudiance to the school's Student Outreach Clinic. For his contributions to the clinic, he is a two time recipient of the Association of American Medical Colleges Humanism in Medicine Award, a student nominated honor.
He is a diplomate of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
