Before joining the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Dr. Alan Rice was on the faculty at Duke University for two years. Dr. Rice is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and member of the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Endocrine Society and American Diabetes Association.
His clinical specialties include receptor transduction of hormone actions, improving compliance in adolescent diabetes, clarifying the causes of diabetes in children without antibodies against islet cell antigens, as well as, general pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology and diabetes.
