Dr. James Lenhart is a family medicine doctor and sports medicine specialist in Las Vegas.
Dr. Lenhart practiced on Vashon Island, Washington for more than ten years before joining the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1991.
In 1995 the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill recruited him to establish a new residency training program in family medicine in Wilmington.
He returned to the University of Nevada School of Medicine seven years later as chair of the family medicine department in Las Vegas. In 2004 he was appointed vice dean of medical school.
In early 2007 James Rogers, chancellor for the Nevada System for Higher Education, named him special assistant for the University of Nevada Health Sciences System.
His interests include health and wellness, population medicine and medical information management.
Dr. Lenhart was born and raised in Helena, Montana.
