Dr. Richard Baynosa is clinical instructor of plastic surgery and assistant program director for the plastic surgery integrated training program at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas.
Dr. Baynosa specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and hand and microsurgery.
His clinical interests also include hyperbaric oxygen therapy and physiological mechanisms, as well as, ischemia reperfusion injury (damage to tissue caused when blood supply returns to the tissue after a period of blood restriction).
He is a charter member of the Young Microsurgeons Group of the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery and serves on the advisory council for plastic and reconstructive surgery for the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Baynosa is the recipient of several awards and grants for basic science research in surgery, as well as, exemplary service and clinical excellence.
