Dr. Richard Williams joined the faculty of the University of Nevada School of Medicine family medicine residency program in 2002. He became residency program director in 2004.
Dr. Williams is chief of the Department of Family Medicine at Renown Regional Medical Center, the school's main teaching hospital in Reno.
Dr. Williams is an active member of the Nevada Chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
He completed the National Institute for Program Director Development Fellowship in 2005.
His medical interests include prenatal health care.
